What’s all this about?

Hi, I’m Lottie Gross. I’m a dog lover, travel writer and author of two dog-friendly travel books in the UK. I’ve spent my career travelling the world, but in 2018 I got a dog and all that changed: I began travelling with Milo, my Manchester Terrier, and writing about our adventures so fellow dog owners could find their way in the world, too. Now, I travel with another Manchester Terrier called Arty, who’s a spicy boy that loves a ball and hates almost everything (and everyone) else.

This newsletter is named after my first book, Dog-Friendly Weekends, which was published by Bradt in 2022. My second book, Dog Days Out, was published with Bloomsbury in 2024, and I’m now working on more books to come.

This newsletter is for anyone interested in dog-friendly travel, whether you’ve got dogs, you’re thinking about getting dogs, or if you’re working in the travel industry and want to know more about what’s out there.

I’ll be writing about some of my favourite finds, ranting about issues in the dog travel world, and updating you with news on everything that’s going on dog-friendly adventuring.
